Aereo and “Free” Broadcasting

Aereo logoBroadcast networks are suing Aereo for copyright infringement because Aereo retransmits free over-the-air signals to subscribers online. How might this case reflect broadcasters’ changing commitment to “free” over-the-air broadcasting supported by advertising?
